#Batti5 is an educational and creative project developed to educate children about the impacts of plastic pollution in our oceans.
The project intends to also promote an active role for individuals to reduce the amount of pollution they produce and to improve the health of our planet. After the first introductory lesson on the impacts of plastic pollution, the children participate in a beach clean up and an artistic game in which they transform their collected pieces of plastic into art.
The Full Immersion Cinque Terre focuses on enhancing the biodiversity found in the marine protected area of Cinque Terre. Full Immersion Cinque Terre also communicates the importance of continued protection of these areas.
The project provides a direct collaboration with dive centers operating in the area as well as the involvement of university students as principal actors of the educational piece until they can acquire professional experience and practical knowledge.
The Golfo dei Delfini project facilitates the transformation of the dolphin watching activities in the Golfo Aranci from touristic to eco-touristic.
To carry this project out, Worldrise has put together a code of conduct based on international guidelines for migratory species which tour guides can use to participate in sustainable activities during their work. Tour guides have also taken a course on the ecology of dolphins in order to be well educated for the dolphin watching tours.
